MAJURO – In response to regional health alerts, the Division of Immigration, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Human Services, is strictly enforcing vaccination requirements for young travelers entering the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
Effective immediately, all children aged 6 months to 5 years old must present proof of up-to-date Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccination upon arrival. This documentation must show that the vaccination was administered at least two weeks prior to entry.
Failure to present valid vaccination records will result in denial of entry.
Travelers are also advised to protect themselves against insect-borne diseases such as dengue fever. The Division recommends that all visitors carry insect repellent and wear protective clothing, particularly if traveling to outer atolls. Our border agents are trained to prioritize public health, and we appreciate the patience of all incoming passengers as we verify these essential health documents.
